How to get a girlfriend this year?

I'm gonna be a sophomore this year and freshman year none of the guys got girlfriends unless they were really popular because most of the good looking girls went out with sophomores and the really really good looking girls went out with Juniors of the freshman class. Now that I'm a sophomore how can I get a nice pretty girlfriend who is either a freshman or sophomore that will like me? What should I say/do?How to get a girlfriend this year?
Talk to as many girls as you can. SMALL TALK. If you can think of anything small to say just to break the ice then you already got 1 foot in the door, after that it's all about making them laugh and feel comfortable. Don't be scared girls hate guys who aren't confident. Don't be too cocky most girls don't like that either. Don't act too affectionate or a girl is going to think your some hallmark card in a human body. But don't act like a complete douche because that doesn't work either(with the exception of girls with low self esteems, only them and God knows why they chose the @holes, but they do). Make sure your shoes and fingernails and everything else is clean and smells good, girls tend to look at how a guy treats his self and think if your not taking care of yourself then you DEFINITELY won't take care of them. MOST IMPORTANTLY.... be yourself man. In the end of it all everyone ends up being their self once they get comfortable around someone and if you end up changing from how you were acting at first they will just look at you like some big liar and dump you anyways. don't go out loooking for someone, but if you find someone who you can't take your eyes off or that you just have a connection with then grab it and run with it.

well you could start by complimenting her..

try to make casual conversation with her..

and after yall are friends for a little while

ask her to come to a football game or

something with you... or a dance if there

is one.

start talking to her, and get to know eachother and just be yourself around her don't try to be someone your not. Girl's don't like that.
it seems to me that all you care about is dating someone, and that you dont really care who they are, just as long as you can say you have a girlfriend. just be yourself and eventually you will find someone who likes you for you. dont rush into a relationship with someone you really dont like just because you feel you have to have a girlfriend.
If you want her to like you....stick with being YOU. Do the things you enjoy and you will find someone with common interests. If you do things to try and impress she'll most likely be disappointed when you no longer feel the need to keep up a charade.

Smiling and/or saying hello works so much better than people think and so many have forgotten how.
don't worry about relationships right now... let them come naturally... it will happen on its own, no need to push it. if you feel like there is difficulty attracting a girl, ask some one you know will e honest and doesn't wear floods and a xxs t-shirt for some fashion advice. My honey was a total geek.... then he turned into a total hottie, all the girls want him now!!! ahhhhh!!!

Just be yourself. Try to hang out with a variety of people and get to know them. Make yourself available and just have fun. People like people who happy and confident.With all those new people coming in I'm sure you'll get a girl.....after all you ARE a sophomore this year ;)
Find someone you are interested in that catches your eye, personality wise or physically then get to know them by saying hi and trying to get in contact with them (texting,myspace,yahoo etc.) then see if they're interested back and there you go

First of all be yourself. I cant tell you how many guys that have made fools of themselves around me and my friends. Be confident and nice. I personally think that guys who cuss a lot will never respect me sooo try not to cuss, its a total turnoff. NO girl is really ugly soo just know what type of personality you like and go for it, you don't want to be stuck with some beautiful but moody girlfriend. Hope this helped. Good luck.
Don't try to get a pretty girl just to be cool and be like the other guys. Grade, looks and popularity don't matter in the long run. You should find someone that makes you feel special. No girl should need to live up to your superficial standards to date u...just saying.
Be yourself - hopefully you're fairly kind and considerate. Be friendly to as many people as possible. Try not to look too sloppy. Join a school activity. Comb your hair occasionally. Learn to keep a confidence. Take a bath or shower regularly. Keep a sense of humor. Brush your teeth. Stay out of trouble. Wear a deodorant and a little cologne. And learn to look a girl in the eye.
