How long will it take?

My girlfriend is good friends with this guy at work. The guys girlfriend of 5 years left him and moved out of state. She told me he is really having a hard time getting over her.



So my girlfriend has been spending some time with him while he gets over it. She goes over most nights to make him dinner and she stays sometimes all night with him talking.



I understand this is a rough time for him but I was curious how long it should take for him to feel better?
