Creating an alternate universe?

I have this composition book that I basically keep an alternate universe in. It's everything in my life that could be changed, changed. I have a girlfriend, and my best friend actually hangs out with me when there are people to judge him around.Right now, the main sub-plot I'm working on right now is how my (completely fictional) friend that is a girl becomes my girlfriend after a year of avoiding her because I like her. The story starts when they finally face each other and get together, and the backstory between them is mainly going to be flashbacks. I need advice on writing this story and how to introduce more of my friends but not make too much of an abrupt change in sub-plot. Just like advice, comments and other things. I need also ideas for what could happen in the story (like the relationship with the guys girlfriend).Creating an alternate universe?
Well I decided to check out your questions since u made that one question complainin that no one answered your questions.

But this question ain't got a real answer. I mean we all could think up plots and subplots and crap, but then it wouldn't be u writing the story.

There's a hella lotta ways to introduce characters. Have em meet at someplace where they go. Maybe help em out in a situation or whatever.
